Annex Medical Imaging is a walk-in diagnostic imaging clinic in Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood. For a full walk-through of what to expect, see our complete walk-in X-ray and ultrasound guide. Here is what “walk-in” actually means for each type of exam, what to bring, and how to plan your visit.
What “Walk-In Diagnostic Imaging” Means at Our Clinic
We accept walk-in patients for X-rays almost every day, with no appointment needed in most cases. For ultrasounds, we accept walk-ins whenever we have an available spot, so it is best to call us at (416) 531-1128 before you come in to make sure we can fit you in without a long wait.
What to Bring to Your Visit
Bring a valid Ontario Health Card and a requisition form from your physician, chiropractor, midwife, or nurse practitioner. If you are booking a screening mammogram and qualify for OBSP self-referral, you do not need a requisition, but you will still need your health card. Wear comfortable clothing without metal zippers, buttons, or jewelry near the area being imaged.
Our Hours and Location in Toronto
We are located at 800 Bathurst St, Unit 304, 3rd Floor, Toronto, ON M5R 3M8. We are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, and Saturday from 9am to 3pm.
Which Exams Work Best as a Walk-In
X-rays, including chest, bone, and sinus X-rays, are the easiest to walk in for. Ultrasounds, mammograms, and bone density tests take longer and are more likely to need a booked time slot, especially if you want a specific appointment time. If you would rather not wait, you can always book an appointment in advance for any exam.
Rescheduling or Cancelling
If you have booked ahead and need to change your appointment, please call us at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer your spot to another patient.
